Taking its name from a legendary street in Milan, Via Spiga was established in Italy in 1985. These gorgeous shoes are steeped in a heritage of pure Italian designs, leathers and materials, all under the creative direction of couture designer Ernesto Esposito. A great advocate of education and art, Esposito designs, directs and styles Via Spiga shoes with the pure, simple goal of bringing luxury fashion within reach. Based out of Naples, Italy, Ernesto Esposito is a dynamo - he is the designer and creative director for the company. He has worked with many other designers to create their respective footwear lines which include Sonia Rykiel, Chloe, Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton. Esposito is an advocate of education and teaches a design course at the University of Naples. In the US, he often speaks with first year design classes at Pratt to help students determine their design medium. In the art world, Ernesto Esposito is world renowned. In Europe, he is considered to have one of the largest personal modern art collections. A close personal friend of Andy Warhol, he was the last person to be painted by Warhol.
